Big trees are beautiful, iconic parts of our urban and suburban landscapes – we may love them for their beauty, and perhaps for their shade. But big trees also play a big role in our ecosystem with everything from climate change mitigation to wildlife habitat. Aaron Greenberg is the Arboretum Manager for Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Cemeteries and the State Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Champion Tree Program. In this talk, Aaron will discuss the benefits of big trees for society and ecology and look at real examples from the Laurel Hill and West Laurel Hill Arboretum tree collection to illustrate how important it is to maintain and preserve our canopy.

A Zoom link will be in your confirmation email upon registration. Each presentation will be recorded and available for viewing by registered participants for a limited time after each event.
